Call to Artists

    Continuing the Conversation     
    ​A juried show in Lavaun's Gallery at the Alberta Street Gallery
    September 30 - October 26

    Local artists are invited to submit up to 4 works focused on the theme of the Black Lives Matter movement and the inspiration of facing matters of racial injustice.  All mediums are accepted. 

    • Submissions will be accepted through the website form below.
    • Artists will be notified by September 20 if are accepted into the show. 
    • Drop off accepted work September 25-27.

    Show will open on Last Thursday, September 30 and will run through October 26.

    • Artists may pick up their work and checks October 30-November 3.
    • Artists will earn 60% of their sale price.
    • We are a community gallery so please price accordingly to sell.

    Please read and confirm by checkbox the following three statements.
    ​I agree to allow Alberta Street Gallery (ASG) to display my art, publicize it, and sell it. I understand that should a piece sell, I will be paid 60% of the sales price. I also understand that ASG is not liable for theft or damage to my work unless caused directly by gallery staff, and in that case, I would be reimbursed a maximum of 60% of the sales price. I also understand that if I do not retrieve my unsold art and/or checks for sales/awards by December 1, 2021, they will become the property of ASG. 
    My wall art will be wired or have a sawtooth hanger or some other distinct way to hang it on a single nail.  Any 3D work will have a method to hang or will be able to sit on a flat surface, or sell with a stand included in the price.
    I will check in and deliver my work to Alberta Street Gallery, 1829 NE Alberta Street, Portland, from September 25-27, during gallery hours of 11am to 7pm.  After the show, I will pick up my remaining work and any check(s) October 30,- November 3, or I will make other arrangements with gallery staff.
