Forest Salazar is a painter who was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. His artistic foundation was laid early on studying music, ceramics, and photography before finding a love for painting around 2009- around the same time that he moved to Portland. Self-taught, Forest explores themes of duality, the subconscious, mental-illness, social injustice, and everyday pain and joy through a distinct use of color and abstraction.
