When Dan steps outside with his camera hanging from his shoulder, it doesn’t really matter where he is because he’s seeing the world through his photographer’s eyes.
In this state of mind, his perception is altered. It is heightened and attuned to what the average citizen might pass by without a second glance: colors, shadows, textures, and lines. After 40 years as a fine art photographer, these details and their interplay still thrill and call to him.
For 15 years, he worked exclusively in black and white darkrooms. With the advent of digital photography, he was eventually seduced by the convenience and flexibility of the new medium. This technology enabled him to interpret the moments that he captures in an expanded myriad of ways.
Welcome to the world as he sees it, through his photographer’s eyes.
