Able Arts Show
June 7th - June 27 2021

Call to Artists:
Alberta Street Gallery has recently lost a cherished Artist Member, Lavaun Benavidez-Heaster. To honor her legacy of promoting and supporting other artists with disabilities, we invite local artists who identify as disabled, to submit up to 3 works of art for a community show held in Lavaun’s Community Gallery inside Alberta Street Gallery.
Artwork can be in any medium but may not exceed 16” x 20” (or 14” cubed for sculptural works) due to space restrictions.
• Deadline to register is May 23.
• We will contact you by email to confirm that your work has been accepted.
• You may submit up to 3 pieces.
• All pieces must be your original work.
• All artists should be local. (We cannot accept shipped art.)
• All work must be for sale.
• Commission is 75% to the artist.
• We are a community gallery, please keep this in mind when pricing your work if you are expecting to sell.
• Drop off for entries is May 27 - June 2, during gallery hours (11am-7pm).
• All entries must be ready to hang.
• The show will run from June 7 until June 27. (No reception)
• You may pick up unsold work and checks June 29 - July 5, during gallery hours (11am-7pm).
• All work not picked up by July 31 will become the property of ASG.
Abandoned art will be sold in next year’s studio sale. Alberta Street Gallery does not insure art against loss, destruction, damage or theft. If the gallery is directly responsible for such acts, it will reimburse the artist a maximum of 75% of the sale price.
