Overgrow the System
A juried show at Alberta Street Gallery
July 28-August 20
Online Registration Deadline: July 8
Show to be exhibited in Lavaun’s Community Gallery, inside ASG
Everyone is welcome to enter this juried art show.
We tend to focus on problems these days but we are inviting you to visualize solutions. Imagine a more sustainable world in which everyone is food secure. Imagine living in harmony with the landscape without harmful and exploitative agricultural practices depleting the earth’s resources. Imagine everyone having the ability to grow, forage, and provide themselves with nutritious, culturally relevant foods whenever needed or desired. Imagine humans being beneficial for the earth. What would a sustainable future look like? To create a better world, we need to be able to visualize it. We welcome you to submit your visions for Overgrow the System, a group show illustrating an improved relationship between humans and the earth
All work must be for sale. You may submit up to 3 pieces in any medium. Artists will receive a check for 60% of the sale price for sold work. All pieces must be your original work. They must be wired or have some other way to reliably hang them on the wall from a single nail. 3D work may either hang or be displayed on a pedestal. No wet paintings accepted. All artists should be local. We cannot accept shipped art or ship it back.
Online Submissions will be juried for entry. The gallery will select which pieces to accept into the show based on the quality of work and relevancy to the show's theme.
There is no entry fee.
