References to time, love, growth, and nature in my paintings are pronounced. They are not so much an image of a specific place and time, but a feeling of one–or in some paintings, many. They are sometimes luminous, sometimes hot, and sometimes cool with an electric energy.
For me, painting abstractly is the best way to represent those elusive things. I’m an artist of the painting process: building layers, listening to color harmonies, employing pattern to move the eye. I gravitate to a style that is vibrant in color and often graphic in style. An intuitive process guides my work. One that I believe can invigorate the spirit of those who wish to really live a life with full intention and a wealth of joy.
